Delayed Easter weekend

On the actual Easter weekend a lot of the family ended up with strep throat. So we celebrated a week later. We all piled in our cars and went up to the river. We did the traditional rolling/throwing of the Easter Eggs and also easter egg hunt. We also shot the new gun dad bought. It turned out to be quite the easter saturday.

MAUII, HAWAII!!

Last week i got invited by some friends to go to Hawaii. At first i turned it down because i was goign to be getting surgery in the middle of the trip. I thought about it for a day then decided it would be stupid not to go. So my surgery is now getting moved up to the 21 of April and i'm praying i won't be miserable during my vacation. :)

DEL SOL RAGNAR!!!

This last weekend i did my second Ragnar relay. I rode with my two friends Derek and Natalie down to Arizona and that night we stayed with My friend Amy. We woke up early the next morning to meet our team. We then drove to Prescott to the beginning of the race. I was in the second van so we didn't get to start running till late in the afternoon. My first leg was 8.5 miles and I was pretty nervous about it with the cold winter and inversion i haven't been able to train as much as i would have liked to. Turned out though to be an awesome run it had a lot more hills than i thought it would but for some reason they didn't affect me much. I was pretty stoked about the run the whole time cause i kept a good pace and passed quite a few people, which is something that i haven't really experienced before. When we were suppose to finish our second legs they stalled the race because a runner had been hit by a car. Because of this they had to rearrange the race a little bit and turned out that our van only got to run 2 legs instead of 3. It was kind of a bummer and i didn't feel quite as hardcore when i finished the race, but i am glad that all of my team made it to the finish line safely. It was an awesome race and went through some really pretty country in AZ and I ended up with an awesome team. I realize when i tell people about these relays nothing about them sounds very appealing, but for some reason no sleeping, no eating and running 3 intense legs in a 24 hour time period is very thrilling to me and I love them alot. This is a bridge that is just into AZ. Everytime i drive over it I get a little bit of anxiety from my fear of heights. This Picture shows me conquering my fear cause i walked out onto it. I must say it took quite a bit of convincing and i held on the railing the whole time.

The Big 24

My birthday this year was celebrated quite a few times. The Friday before my birthday i was planning a nice quiet night with my nephew Michael...I stopped by my friend Eliese's house so she could grab some clothes. I was the first one to walk in and as i walked into the dark kitchen i saw a big man just standing there...staring at me. I was pretty terrified. Then as i turned on the light everyone yelled Surprise or something like that. I was so scared i don't remember. I then turned around punched Eliese and pushed her down the stairs then ran for my life. I got a little ways before i realized what exactly was going on. So that was my first birthday celebration. ON my actualy birthday i went to work where there were treats in celebration for my birthday, then after school i went to lunch with friends. After lunch i went to my parents where all my nieces and nephews spoiled me pretty rotten. Owen and Ava bought me balloons. and Michael took me on a date and bought me Spear flowers (aka Tulips). We had birhtday dinner and opened presents. I got pretty spoiled. I then had friends come over for ice cream sunday's and played games. THEN that weekend i went down to Toph and Em's and we started the celebration with birthday doughnuts then we went to lunch. I am so lucky to have such great friends and family that Made 24 so great! I am a VERY lucky girl
