Lo took me to Beaver to teach me how to snow board. After hearing everyone's horror stories about their first times i was pretty scared to go but he was an excellent teacher and I really loved snow boarding. IT wasn't near as painful as i was expecting.

Last month i had the opportunity to go down to Pleasant Grove and run in a fun run that raised money for Tucker's school. It was fun to watch my nephews run in their first race..since it is something that i Love so much. Even though i don't think they enjoyed the race quite as much as i may have hoped. THey don't get the point of running a race if there is a possibility you won't get first....I guess it was worth a shot. HEre are some pictures from the race:

Hiking the Slot Canyons

For a weekend a group of us went down to st george to hike some of the Slot canyons down there. We started in birch canyon repelled down to Orderville and came out in the narrows. Quite the cool experience. We ended up doing 12 repels and hiked for 10 hours.

Sailing at Flaming Gorge

I'm way behind on updates, but over a month ago a group of us went to flaming gorge for a weekend to go sailing. THe first day there was a huge storm and we ended up just anchoring in a harbor and watched movies most of the day. The rest of the days we just sailed. We did go to shore for a little bit and went cliff jumping. I was pretty worried that I was going to go crazy being stuck on a small Sail boat for 4 days but I loved it. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The pictures aren't in order but here are some that i took.

Hawaii Trip: Day 3

ON the third day i again got up early to go running then we headed out to a beach to go snorkeling. I was much better at snorkeling this day I even started to learn how to dive. By the beach there was a grove of trees that had huge vines and things growing from them. We spent alot of time climbing them untill we got yelled at. After snorkeling we went to lunch and I had AMAZING fish and chips.We then went to another beach and just relaxed.

Hawaii Trip: Day 2

On Day two I woke up early and went for a run on the beach then we went to a beach and went snorkeling. On the way back we took a crazy road that was way narrow and had crazy sharp turns. We then went back to the condo and relaxed and then later that night watched the sunset from the ocean at an amazing beach. We then went to dinner and I picked up my Cousin David that is stationed in the islan Oahu. The Pictures are posted backwards in order.

On the actual Easter weekend a lot of the family ended up with strep throat. So we celebrated a week later. We all piled in our cars and went up to the river. We did the traditional rolling/throwing of the Easter Eggs and also easter egg hunt. We also shot the new gun dad bought. It turned out to be quite the easter saturday.

Last week i got invited by some friends to go to Hawaii. At first i turned it down because i was goign to be getting surgery in the middle of the trip. I thought about it for a day then decided it would be stupid not to go. So my surgery is now getting moved up to the 21 of April and i'm praying i won't be miserable during my vacation. :)

This last weekend i did my second Ragnar relay. I rode with my two friends Derek and Natalie down to Arizona and that night we stayed with My friend Amy. We woke up early the next morning to meet our team. We then drove to Prescott to the beginning of the race. I was in the second van so we didn't get to start running till late in the afternoon. My first leg was 8.5 miles and I was pretty nervous about it with the cold winter and inversion i haven't been able to train as much as i would have liked to. Turned out though to be an awesome run it had a lot more hills than i thought it would but for some reason they didn't affect me much. I was pretty stoked about the run the whole time cause i kept a good pace and passed quite a few people, which is something that i haven't really experienced before. When we were suppose to finish our second legs they stalled the race because a runner had been hit by a car. Because of this they had to rearrange the race a little bit and turned out that our van only got to run 2 legs instead of 3. It was kind of a bummer and i didn't feel quite as hardcore when i finished the race, but i am glad that all of my team made it to the finish line safely. It was an awesome race and went through some really pretty country in AZ and I ended up with an awesome team. I realize when i tell people about these relays nothing about them sounds very appealing, but for some reason no sleeping, no eating and running 3 intense legs in a 24 hour time period is very thrilling to me and I love them alot. The Big 24

My birthday this year was celebrated quite a few times. The Friday before my birthday i was planning a nice quiet night with my nephew Michael...I stopped by my friend Eliese's house so she could grab some clothes. I was the first one to walk in and as i walked into the dark kitchen i saw a big man just standing there...staring at me. I was pretty terrified. Then as i turned on the light everyone yelled Surprise or something like that. I was so scared i don't remember. I then turned around punched Eliese and pushed her down the stairs then ran for my life. I got a little ways before i realized what exactly was going on. So that was my first birthday celebration. ON my actualy birthday i went to work where there were treats in celebration for my birthday, then after school i went to lunch with friends. After lunch i went to my parents where all my nieces and nephews spoiled me pretty rotten. Owen and Ava bought me balloons. and Michael took me on a date and bought me Spear flowers (aka Tulips). We had birhtday dinner and opened presents. I got pretty spoiled. I then had friends come over for ice cream sunday's and played games. THEN that weekend i went down to Toph and Em's and we started the celebration with birthday doughnuts then we went to lunch. I am so lucky to have such great friends and family that Made 24 so great! I am a VERY lucky girl

It was my friend Eliese's 21st birthday this weekend. Saturday we went to Salt Lake and went to eat with a group of us at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Eliese's Brother called while we were there and said he had Jazz Tickets for us. So we went there after. We were all dressed up for her birthday so we were a little out of place at the game but it was still good times. Me and Eliese after went hot tubbing and hung out with some of her friends. Sunday We had friend's over that night for ice cream and games. Then Monday we went to the White Owl for her free birthday burger. It ended to be quite the birthday celebration.

Wasatch Back!

A couple of weeks ago I got the awesome opportunity to run in the wasatch back relay. It was probably one of the craziest things i've done! a few weeks before the actual race i got asked if i wanted to fill in by my cousin. I didn't really know what i was getting myself into when i agreed. I looked at the mileage of what each of my three runs would be. I saw 3.5, 7.7, and 4. I thought to mysel that that would be simple enough. boy was i wrong. It turned out that the 7.7 ,which was my second run, was a slight incline that was ran at about 1:30 in the morning with no sleep before hand. but my 4 mile which i tought would be a piece a cake ended up being one of the most difficult runs i've ever done. It ended up being up a mountain with a 8% grade incline....after running 5 steps i wanted to sit down and cry. For those that aren't familiair with the race. It starts in Logan and ends in Park city covering 188 miles. in teams of 12 or for those that aren't mentally well 6. each team has 2 vans our number 1 van left from logan at 7:50 am on Friday morning. Van 2 ,that i was in, met them at Eden that afternoon where we started our legs. my first leg was a pretty flat 3.5 miles which would have been a really nice run if it wasn't so hot. our van ended up in some mountains and then we sat and waited at that exchange while van 1 ran. Then we started running again about 10 pm. this leg i ran the 7.7 miles. It was a beautiful night and ran the whole thing with a lady that pushed me pretty good. this would have been my favorite leg of the day. Except for the fact that while i was running i got really really sick. Soon after finishing I started throwing up. which did not stop till later that morning. Our van continued running till about 5 am. when we were done we got to go to a school and change our clothes. We then headed to wait to start our last leg and get what sleep we could. That next morning about 7:30 our van started our last leg. This was my Ragnar leg which was straight up the mountain. the run itself was pretty difficult but the fact i had been throwing up since 3 that morning and got very little sleep made it seem like maybe it wasn't really possible for me to finish it. the first mile was pretty rough. but then my body warmed up a bit for the next two miles then the last mile was probably the worse of all. at the end i collapsed and cried like a baby. and i felt ok about it. I don't really know what time our team finished i was kind of out of it once i finished my last leg, but it definitely was an awesome experience and want to run it again now that i know what to expect.---wow that was a lot longer than i expected.

Dallin Paul started out his summer with a big operation on his ear. It was a long day for all of us. Mom and dad took him to the hospital at 9 am and didn't leave till close to 6 pm. hopefully he has a quick recovery.

Last Tuesday me and Brooke took a little trip down to Provo. I dropped her off at her friends house and i got to spend the rest of the day with some people i haven't gotten to see for quite awhile. I spent most of Tuesday with Lacey who i haven't seen for 8 months. It sure was fun spending the day with her and catching up. that night i got to also see my friend Chad that has moved back to Pleasant Grove from Logan. The next day i got to go watch Tucker's dance festival that his school put on. He is quite the little dancer! Must have learned it from his pop. ;)

I consider myself pretty lucky that me and my girlfriends from highschool have been able to stay really close. A couple of weeks ago Mallory and i took a day trip Up to Idaho. We stopped in Pocatello to see Amanda and her cute baby Addalyn. Then we continued up to Rexburg to see Annette and her little boy Dyson. We all met Shannon for lunch and caught up. it's always good times when we get together, unfortunately it was just half of us this time. Can't wait till the 6th to see all of you!

A couple of Saturday's ago the girls in the family that live close enough decided we should go do something fun. Emily had the brilliant idea of going rollerblading at the fun park. Which for those girls in the family that weren't able to come with us should know this is now going to be a regular outing for us. Anyways the day turned out to be a really really fun day. Except i did fall and really bruised my knee cap it actually still 2 and half weeks later hurts when i touch it. Oh well it was definitely worth it. my birthday was this last week and it turned out to be a really great birthday. It started with me going to school which wasn't too exciting. After school i got to go to lunch, in Brigham City, with some of my sisters (we missed you Lexie and Emily.) After lunch i got to take a nap which i always enjoy that night i got a jewelery box dresser thing from my mom and dad. I have wanted it for a really long time so it was a great surprise. My friend Shelly also planned a little party thing for me. we had cake and Ice cream and did a little Karaoking. It was a ton of fun to get to spend with both friends and family on such a great day!

A Sleepover

a couple of weeks ago someone wanted to take some of my shifts at my night job. Michael and Owen were over playing. When it was time for Michael to go home he didn't want to go. To try and get him to go Becca and Mike walked out of the house like they were leaving. Saying his binkies and blankets were at home. thinking that would make him want to go. Instead Michael turns to me and says "We can just go to walmart to buy more binkies huh?" every single one of my nieces and nephews have me wrapped around their fingers so I went to ask his parents if he could stay and have a sleepover with me. they said he could and he was excited. Owen who was still over playing then wanted to have a sleepover also. Turns out it to be just like i remember sleepovers growing up.....there isn't much sleeping involved. They were both so excited about having a sleep over they just couldn't relax enough to sleep.

Amy was in town this last weekend so we decided that all of us girls from highschool would get together. With everyone married and having babies we don't have the chance to get together very often. Ironically enough Shannon got engaged just in time for this get together so we decided we would make it a bridal showerish thing for her. It is always good to get together with old friends and reminisce about the good old days. I am glad that i was able to have such good friends and that we are all still close and able to get together.

Time for a change!

So lately i have felt like something needed to change in my life. I thought about moving somewhere but i'm too lazy to change schools and get new jobs and find a place to live. I then thought about cutting my hair seemed like a pretty drastic thing for me to do since i'm kind of really emotionally attatched to my hair, but the more i thought about it the more i thought i might just end up crying about it. Then i would have to wait till my hair grew back out which would take forever. So I went to my friend Shannon and asked her to color my hair thinking that will have to suffice. Friday night she put some highlights in it and a carmel color. it looked great but it still wasn't the kind of change i wanted. So Saturday when i went back to have her cut it We decided to go a little darker. I have never been dark and i can't remember the last time i was so nervous. So now after just a few short hours with Shannon i have dark hair. and I must say it is good to have a change! That was a really long post for something as simple as changing my hair color...

This last weekend i decided I wanted to get out of Utah and visit my friend Amy. I had thought about leaving thursday night and getting there friday morning then i didn't feel to great so i questioned whether i was even going to go. I woke up Friday morning and decided why not. so i left for the 12 hour drive. I got there at 8:30ish on Friday night. and Left to come home about 8:30 on Sunday morning. It was a really quick trip but it was good to get get out and see amy. The pictures are a little backwards of how the trip really went but i'm counting on everyone being smart enough to figure it out:)

On the drive home since i got to look at this for a lot of hours i decided it was only right that i share it with everyone

this is me stuck behind a huge wreck on the free way. which actually ended up closing the free way and me needing to find a nother way home, it was a little stressful.

Our old roommate Krystal came and spent Saturday afternoon with us. We took alot of pictures and this is the best one we got we kind of struggled.

I needed a picture by a cactus and we drove around for awhile looking for one that wasn't in someone's yard but couldn't find one.

I have become quite the slacker in blogging ever since this semester as started. working two jobs and going to school is keeping me pretty busy and when i do have to blog I have nothing exciting that has really happened..I will try to have a more exciting life so i will have something to put on my blog. But good things have come out of me being somewhat "lame" I have gotten A's on all tests and papers so far this semester which is really exciting for me. Who knew that actually goign to class and studying would lead to good grades:) The next few posts will be updates of the little that has happened in the last few months.

A date to the ER

So yesterday me and my friend shannon wanted to go on a double date. I decided to ask my friend greg. We were just going to go up the canyon and cook hot dogs and s'mores. Me and Greg were the first ones up there so we decided we would start the fire. Greg was talking about how much he loves axes then all of a sudden he said he just cut his thumb. I thought he was joking cause he was so calm about it. then he got a little more frantic. He went to the car to use the light and sure enough he did. Luckily just at that moment the other people showed up. and they could help him. I had to have quite a bit of blood drawn for some tests and if i saw any of Greg's thumb was almost positive i would pass out. So Tony the other guy there took my car and drove Greg to the ER and me and Shannon met them there soon after. Turns out he really almost cut off the tip of his thumb. but 7 stiches later everything is going to be ok. I will say for those that know me and know what i hard time i have with blood on other people and needles I was a really big support to greg and even watched him get the last of his stiches. and i didn't pass out. I was proud of myself.

Shannon had to go to salt lake to a friend's wedding and convinced me to go down with her. When she was in the temple and the luncheon/dinner. I just walked around temple square and walked down to the Gateways mall. It was really pretty except it decided to rain almost the whole time i was outside...so i got pretty wet. I did get to see my brother Christopher that works on temple square for a little bit so that was fun. that night we went on a triple date with one of Shannon's friends and her husband. Which I forgot my camera in my car for that part so there are no pictures.

So last weekend was pretty busy it started off by going to a cowboy themed Work party...Which was fun to get to know everyone in the office a little better but sort of awkward i was the only unmarried person there so I just sorta hung out and listened to alot of conversations. after the party i again went to the river to camp with a bunch of friends. It was fun and was great cause i actually got some sleep which hasn't really happened to last two weekends i went camping. On Saturday we all floated the river which it was really high and alot of fun. Early afternoon my mom and dad brought tucker and truman up to the river and they LOVED it. We floated the river at least 8 times. And Tucker was so excited that he was able to float in the tube all by himself. after a long day at the river i decided to take the boys to a carnival that was in town. which turns out to of been a really sad looking carnival but the boys got to go on two rides and seemed to really enjoy it. Since the carnival was so sad looking i decided we would go to Wal mart to buy them each a little something. That night We all were ready for bed and sleep very very good! It was so fun to have the boys come stay the weekend with us and i love them both so much.

Cocktail Party

Last night my friend had a cocktail party at her apartment. It was really fun we got to get dressed up and we went and they made us all kinds of drinks and for those that are concerned we did have the option of virgin drinks which most of us had. But there was also Karaoke which i have become addicted to through the last few months. I belted loudly at the top of my lungs for close to an hour and half and would have kept going if i didn't have to go to work. I did wake up this morning with a slight sore throat..I unfortunately just have a few pictures my camera died not too far into the party.

Ward Camp Out

Last weekend was my ward campout which i felt was quite unsuccessful! My Parents and brother in law made an awesome dutchoven dinner and cobbler, which everyone loved. There was a lot of ward bonding going on and i think everyone became pretty good friends. We got to watch the inspirational movie "Happy Feet" on the projector and When we floated the river there was only one injury and one pair of lost sunglasses! so when everything was said and done i think everyone really enjoyed themselves. Not many people got a lot of sleep which i think is either a sign of onery children or people really enjoying themselves..and since there was no children camping with us i'm going to guess people were having fun. My Mother and I went and Hiked up to the windcaves last sunday. It is one of my favorite places to go here in Logan. It is always so beautiful and the hike is always so nice. It was also lots of fun to spend some time with my mom. She is amazing woman and it is always good to spend time with her.

The 4th Of July

Alot of celebrating went on for the 4th of July weekend. On the 3rd the family went and watched the Logan Fireworks. On Friday my friend shannon planned a big shin-dig. It started with a party at her house. then we all went to the Lewiston Fireworks, then we all headed to Riverdale to the property to camp. The next day we all floated the river it was the first time i floated the river for the year. It was all alot of fun and i wasn't ready for the weekend to end.

My Friend that has always taken me boating got married this year so i hadn't been at all yet this year so when shannon's ward had their boating party i decided to go it was a lot of fun to see alot of people i graduated with and spend the day at the lake. That night i threw a birthday party for my friend Diana it was quite the busy day and tons of fun!

So the cake had a couple of holes in it and the frosting sunk in but besides that i thought i did a pretty good job

a couple of weekends ago i went to spend the night with my friend shannon when i got there she surprised me with wax saying we were having a waxing party. This may be more information then i should share on a blog, but the experience was very new for me. She started waxing my nose hairs. Right now i am completely nose hairless...it's a weird feeling. ANYWAYS I'm glad for my friend shannon and even if she does have weird ideas sometimes it's always an adventure when we hang out.

While JoAnna went through the temple me and my dad got to watch 7 children. And it wasn't near as bad as it sounds. After the temple everyone came over for a lunch. Then after the lunch we threw her a bridal shower. That night before everyone even left i fell asleep on the couch. The long day was very exhausting but lots of fun!

So i had a really great vacation and honestly did not want to leave. But once i got home i was reminded how much i enjoy being home and around my family. Brian and Lexie and their kids came and hung out during the evening. We all had a delicious dinner, matt and emily made an awesome dessert, Then Chad started playing the guitar and we all sang very loudly to it. And after all the singing chad still wants to marry into the family so that is a good sign:) I have the greatest family ever! Here are some pictures from my first night home. For our last day in Puerto Rico we decided to go to Culebra Island. It took about and HOur Ferry ride to it and once we got there it was amazing. the water was crystal blue and the sand was very white. While we were there we all got really sunburnt and we also we snorkeling it was definitely a good way to end the trip!

Yesterday we spent most of the day just hanging out on the beach and finally got some sun for the fist time on the trip so that was exciting. The highlight though was at 8 we went to the place called Bioluminescent Bays It was so so amazing. What we did was kayak through a bay then we went through this canal which was completely dark and i was really nervous and was freaking out a little. Apparently i'm really scared of the dark when i'm On the ocean oh and not to mention we were on the corner of the Bermuda triangle. When we got through the canal it opened up to another bay and it was amazing because of all these different things combined the plankton glows when it has contact with something. So we would stick our hands in and the water around it would just glow kind of like a glow stick. it was so amazing and again the pictures won't give it justice. On the way back the current was really strong and me and shannon got stuck which we ended up getting towed out by one of the guides, who will be in one of the pictures. It was an amazing experience. We weren't allowed to take camera's in the kayak so here is the link to the website. Check it out it will explain a little better about the experience and it has pictures on it also.
